1. Atomic Layer Deposition and Immobilised Molecular Catalysts Studied by In and Ex Situ Electron Spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : The research work that I describe in my thesis deals with three different heterogenisation approaches for synthesising a heterogeneous transition metal catalyst used for direct C-H activation reactions. The three heterogenisation approaches considered in my research are: (1) heterogenisation of a molecular catalyst on a polymer support using covalent bonds, (2) heterogenisation of a catalyst on a reduced graphene oxide (rGO) support using non-covalent interactions and (3) immobilisation of a catalyst on an inorganic surface using covalent bonds and encapsulation in an inorganic matrix. 2. Resource Management in Computing Systems
Sammanfattning : Resource management is an essential building block of any modern computer and communication network. In this thesis, the results of our research in the following two tracks are summarized in four papers. The first track includes three papers and covers modeling, prediction and control for multi-tier computing systems. LÄS MER

4. Long-term performance of polymeric materials in nuclear power plants
Sammanfattning : Access to energy is crucial for modern societies to function sustainably. In addition, nuclear power has for a long time been considered a reliable source of energy. However, the majority of nuclear power plants are reaching the end of their service lifetimes, and it is crucial to verify that every component can withstand the added service time. LÄS MER
5. Proteomics Studies of Subjects with Alzheimer’s Disease and Chronic Pain
Sammanfattning : Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease and the major cause of dementia, affecting more than 50 million people worldwide. Chronic pain is long-lasting, persistent pain that affects more than 1.5 billion of the world population. LÄS MER
