   Sammanfattning : Allergic asthma is an inflammatory disease of the airways and is characterised by chronic inflammation, reversible bronchoconstriction and airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR). The cyclooxygenases (COXs) are key enzymes in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, which have diverse physiological and pathological functions, and are also important modulators of inflammatory responses in the lung.
