  1. 1. Energy Policy Instruments Perspectives on their Choice, Combination and Evaluation

    Författare :Kerstin Åstrand; Miljö- och energisystem; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy systems; policy instrument choice; socio-technical systems; policy instrument combination; Energiforskning; Energy research; Samhällsvetenskaper; Social sciences; Sweden.; evaluation; Environmental technology; pollution control; Miljöteknik; wind energy policy; green certificate trading scheme; market creation; wind power; Public policy instruments; wind turbine development; kontroll av utsläpp; renewable energy; energy policy;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract The thesis aims at providing a better understanding of public policy instruments used in policy-making within the energy sector, particularly regarding their role in the change towards an increased use of renewable energy sources for generation of electricity. The research was guided by an underlying assumption that a markedly higher proportion of the energy generated from renewable sources can be considerably enhanced by use of policy instruments that support the development and the market creation of new, renewable energy technologies. 2. 2. Applications of artificial neural networks for time series data analysis in energy domain

    Författare :Fan Zhang; Hasan Fleyeh; Stawomir Nowaczyk; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Deregulated energy market; electricity prices; district heating; energy efficiency; neural networks; Complex Systems – Microdata Analysis; Komplexa system - mikrodataanalys;

    Sammanfattning : With the development of artificial intelligence techniques and increased installation of smart meters in recent years, time series analysis using historical data in the energy domain becomes applicable. In this thesis, microdata analysis approaches are used, which consist of data acquisition, data processing, data analysis and data modelling, aiming to address two research problems in the energy domain. 3. 3. Optimisation of Local and National Energy Systems : Development and Use of the MODEST Model

    Författare :Dag Henning; Carl-Johan Fogelholm; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Energy may be supplied by a multitude of components. Computer simulation helps in finding a beneficial system design. The energy-system optimisation model MODEST has been developed, and it has been applied to municipal, regional, and national energy systems. LÄS MER

  4. 4. On the Selection of Methods and Tools for Analysis of Heat and Power Plants

    Författare :Pernilla Olausson; Kraftverksteknik; []

    Sammanfattning : The business climate of the energy market has been eventful over the last two decades, particularly with the introduction of the deregulated electricity market and promotion of environmental issues. This has subsequently lead to new analysis criteria, influencing both technology requirements and production costs. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Swedish industrial and energy supply measures in a European system perspective

    Författare :Louise Trygg; Björn G. Karlsson; Thomas B. Johansson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Deregulated European Electricity market; Industries; Energy suppliers; CO2 emissions; Electricity reduction; European electricity prices; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : A common electricity market in Europe will in all probability lead to a levelling out of the electricity price, which implies that Swedish consumers will face higher electricity prices with a European structure. This new market situation will force industry and energy suppliers to take new essential measures as actors in a deregulated European electricity market. LÄS MER
