  1. 1. Tracing Prehistoric Activities : Life ways, habitual behaviour and health of hunter-gatherers on Gotland

    Författare :Petra Molnar; Jan Storå; Christopher Knüsel; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Activity-related change; Musculoskeletal Stress Markers; Extramasticatory wear; dental wear; Health index; Pitted Ware culture; Neolithic; Ajvide; Archaeology; Arkeologi; osteoarkeologi; Osteoarchaeology;

    Sammanfattning : In the present thesis, skeletal and dental evidence of physical strain and habitual behaviour has been investigated through musculoskeletal stress markers (MSM) and extramasticatory dental wear. The skeletal and dental traits have been examined in relation to health patterns and material culture in order to gain better knowledge of life ways of hunter-gatherers on Gotland with special focus on Pitted Ware culture sites and the Ajvide site in particular. 2. 2. Clinical reasoning focused on clients’ behaviour change in physiotherapy : Development and evaluation of the Reasoning 4 Change instrument

    Författare :Maria Elvén; Anne Söderlund; Jacek Hochwälder; Elizabeth Dean; Lena Nilsson-Wikmar; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Assessment; Behaviour change; Clinical reasoning; Education; Functional behavioural analysis; Physiotherapy; Reliability; Scale development; Validity; fysioterapi; Physiotherapy;

    Sammanfattning : With the recognition of the impact of lifestyle behaviours on health and the evidence of incorporating behavioural considerations in physiotherapy, there is a need to advance the clinical reasoning of physiotherapists. Clinical reasoning encompasses the thinking and decision-making processes guiding client management and is a core competency of physiotherapists. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Brain function and behaviour related to development and training of working memory

    Författare :Pernille J Olesen; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Training of working memory (WM) is a research field that could result in new therapeutic breakthroughs for people with impaired WM functions. In support of this view, research in our group has previously shown that WM training could increase WM capacity in children with attention deficits and in healthy adults. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Programming and updaing of reaching movements

    Författare :Sergei Perfiliev; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Reaching movements; motor cortex; central command; neuronal recording; trajectory updating; descending pathways; spinal cord lesions;

    Sammanfattning : Neuronal activity in the motor cortex (area 4) was recorded during reaching movements in cats, trained to perform target-reaching in response to a tone burst. Out of 350 task related neurones 12% generated short latency (20?110 ms) sensory responses to the cue triggering the reaching movement. LÄS MER
