  1. 11. A Virtual Design Studio for Low-Frequency Sound from Walking in Lightweight Buildings

    Författare :Nata Amiryarahmadi; Sweden Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Lightweight floors; Walking sound; Low frequency; Annoyance; Virtual design studio;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years there has been a growing interest for building lightweight multistorey woodenresidential buildings in countries like Sweden with large and renewable forests. While positive aspectsof these buildings, such as sustainability, ease of construction and lightness, motivate building more inwood, poor acoustic performance is a risk which concerns the wooden-building industry. 2. 12. Acoustical Characteristics of Aircraft Panels

    Författare :Bilong Liu; Leping Feng; Jie Pan; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Acoustics; sound transmission loss; stiffener; stiffening; aircraft panel; cylindrical shell; turbulent boundary layer; TBL; noise; sound radiation; Acoustics; Akustik;

    Sammanfattning : A deterministic approach based on a modal expansion and modal receptance method has been developed to evaluate the airborne sound insulation of aircraft panels with stringer and ring frame attachments. Furthermore, this method was extended to predict the noise radiation of stiffening panel subjected to TBL excitation. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Low Frequency Impact Sound in Timber Buildings : Transmission Measurements and Simulations

    Författare :Jörgen Olsson; Andreas Linderholt; Börje Nilsson; Carl Hopkins; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Timber floors; FE-simulations; Light weight floors; Frequency response functions; Building acoustics; Byggteknik; Civil engineering;

    Sammanfattning : An increased share of multi-story buildings that have timber structures entails potential in terms of increased sustainability as well as human-friendly manufacturing and habitation. Timber buildings taller than two stories were prohibited in Europe until the 1990s due to fire regulations. In 1994, this prohibition was removed in Sweden. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Vibroacoustic performance of wooden buildings : Prediction and Perception

    Författare :Juan Negreira; Teknisk akustik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Prediction tools; Low frequency vibrations; Vibroacoustics; Wooden buildings; Impact sound insulation; Finite element method; Vibration measurements; Flanking transmission; Elastomers; Design indicators; Vibration acceptability; Vibration annoyance; MEMS accelerometers;

    Sammanfattning : When the Swedish building regulations in 1994 allowed wooden multi-storey buildings to be built, this type of lightweight construction became popular due to its low cost and ease of construction, as well as wood being a plentiful resource in Sweden. However, complaints amid inhabitants are often reported due to nuisances caused by disturbing vibrations and noise propagating in the building. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Statistical energy analysis and variational principles for the prediction of sound transmission in multilayered structures

    Författare :Mathias Barbagallo; Svante Finnveden; Jean-Louis Guyader; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; statistical energy analysis; porous materials; biot theory; variational principles; hamilton principle; double walls; multilayered structures; Järnvägsgruppen - Ljud och vibrationer; Järnvägsgruppen - Ljud och vibrationer;

    Sammanfattning : Multilayered structures have many application in industry and society: they have peculiar properties and serve a variety of purposes, like structural support, thermal insulation, vibrational and acoustic isolation. This thesis concerns the prediction of sound transmission in multilayered structures. LÄS MER
