16. Backward and Forward Nonlinear Optical Processes in Potassium Titanyl Phosphate
Sammanfattning : Second-order nonlinear optical processes generate radiation across a broad spectrum, including UV and the far-infrared. In this thesis, new light sources in the near(NIR) and mid infrared (MIR) using three-wave mixing geometries in periodically poled potassium titanyl phosphate (PPKTP) is studied. LÄS MER
17. Nonlinear dynamics of strongly-bound magnetic vortex pairs
Sammanfattning : This work is a study of nonlinear phenomena in vertically stacked pairs of magnetic vortices. New dynamic regimes are uncovered with a decrease in the inter-vortex separation to below the lateral vortex-core size. LÄS MER
18. Classical and Quantum Correlations in Microwave Frequency Combs
19. Fabrication of periodically poled crystals from the KTP family and their applications in nonlinear optics
Sammanfattning : Quasi-phasematched (QPM) nonlinear optical frequencyconversion is a powerful tool in the development of new lasersources, by providing high conversion efficiency and largeflexibility in terms of output wavelengths.QPM structures are preferably implemented in bulk crystalsbe periodic electric field poling. 20. Tailored fiber lasers and their use in nonlinear optics
Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis work was to develop tailored fiber lasers, which meet the pump requirement for efficient continuous-wave (cw) frequency conversion to the visible and the mid-infrared wavelength regimes: a stable, high-power, wavelength-tunable, narrow-linewidth output in a single polarization. As a first step, the prospect of tuning ytterbium fiber lasers over an unprecedented wavelength range, from 980nm to 1100nm, was investigated. LÄS MER
