  1. 1. Multi-Strange and Charmed Antihyperon-Hyperon Physics for PANDA

    Författare :Erik Thomé; Tord Johansson; Brian Quinn; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PANDA; FAIR; antiproton; hyperon; strangeness; charm; polarisation; spin correlation; CP violation; Nuclear Physics; Kärnfysik;

    Sammanfattning : The prospects of studying multi-strange and charmed antihyperon-hyperon physics and CP violation in hyperon decays in the upcoming PANDA experiment at FAIR, Germany, have been studied in this thesis.The angular dependence on polarisation parameters in the decay of the spin 3/2 Omega hyperon was calculated using the density matrix formalism. 2. 2. Time for Hyperons : Development of Software Tools for Reconstructing Hyperons at PANDA and HADES

    Författare :Jenny Regina; Karin Schönning; Michael Papenbrock; Pawel Marciniewski; Laura Fabbietti; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hadron physics; Hyperon; Track reconstruction; 4D tracking; Free-streaming data; Kinematic fitting; PANDA; HADES; Fysik med inriktning mot kärnfysik; Physics with specialization in Nuclear Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The PANDA experiment at FAIR offers unique possibilities for performing hyperon physics. The detector will enable the reconstruction of both hyperon and antihyperon, which will be created together in proton-antiproton collisions. This enables investigations of the strong interaction in the non-perturbative regime. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Time-Based Reconstruction of Hyperons at PANDA at FAIR

    Författare :Jenny Regina; Karin Schönning; Michael Papenbrock; Pawel Marciniewski; Sophie Grape; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PANDA; FAIR; hyperons; track reconstruction; online; cellular automaton; 4D tracking; Physics with specialization in Nuclear Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot kärnfysik;

    Sammanfattning : The PANDA (anti-Proton ANnihilation at DArmstadt) experiment at the future FAIR (Facility for Anti-proton and Ion Research) offers unique possibilities for performing hyperon physics.The almost full 4π coverage of the detector will enable the reconstruction of both hyperon and antihyperon which will be created together in proton-antiproton collisions.
