12. Optical properties of silver nanostructures prepared by electron beam lithography
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, electron beam lithography (EBL) has been used to fabricate substrates for studies of nanoparticle optics, in particular for the investigation of noble metal nanoparticles and their tunable optical properties. The strong interaction of metal nanoparticles with light has its origin in the resonant excitation of collective oscillations of conduction electrons, so called localized surface plasmons (LSP). 14. Nanostructured carbon materials prepared by hole-mask colloidal lithography
Sammanfattning : Research and development of nanofabrication methods can be motivated both formanufacturing of commercially available products like micro electronic componentsand for development of model systems for fundamental and applied science. Thefabrication process developed during this work, hole-mask colloidal lithography(HCL), is primarily oriented towards the latter two, specifically for research in thefields of catalysis, nanoparticle plasmons, and bio- and fundamental physics.
