    Sammanfattning : Photoelectron spectroscopy is an experimental method to study the electronic structure in matter. In this thesis, a combination of soft and hard X-ray based photoelectron spectroscopy has been used to obtain atomic level understanding of electronic structures and energy level alignments in mesoscopic solar cells. Sammanfattning : In spite of their high abundance and importance, aqueous systems are enigmatic on the microscopic scale. In order to obtain information about their geometrical and electronic structure, simple aqueous solutions have been studied experimentally by photo- and Auger electron spectroscopy using the novel liquid micro-jet technique in conjunction with synchrotron radiation. 3. 18. Theoretical studies of a nanoparticle bridge platform for molecular electronics measurements

    Författare :Henrik Löfås; Rajeev Ahuja; Jan Isberg; Anton Grigoriev; Gemma Solomon; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Physics with spec. in Atomic; Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot atom- molekyl- och kondenserande materiens fysik;

    Sammanfattning : The main focus of this thesis is the theoretical investigations of a nanogap platform used for molecular electronics measurements under ambient conditions. The nanogap is about 20 nm wide, while the molecules investigated here (octanethiol(OT) and octanedithiol(ODT)) are about 1-1.5 nm long making it impossible to bridge the gap with one molecule. 4. 19. Molecular and crystallographic aspects of some terpenoids from soft corals

    Författare :Rolf Karlsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The crystal structures and absolute configurations of five terpenoids:africanol, lemnacamol, capnellenetriol, sinulariolideand lobophytolide, all isolated from soft corals, have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Aspects of structure determination, conformation, absolute configuration determination and molecular association are given. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Methods of laser spectroscopy in the study of Pb₂, CaCl and CaH

    Författare :Hans Martin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Some methods of laser spectroscopy in the study of small molecules are discussed. A special emphasis is given on to how quantum number assignments can be made and rotational analyses of very dense structures can be carried out after exciting the molecules with monochromatic radiation.
