  1. 11. Digital motion control techniques for electrical drives

    Författare :Sanath Alahakoon; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Digital motion control area toady is a well-established one,which is believed to be first initiated by power electronicengineers in the early seventies. Modern digital controltheory, advances in digital signal processor andmicrocontroller technology and recent developments in powerelectronic devices have made this field a very competitive one. 2. 12. Power Control for Multi-Cell Massive MIMO

    Författare :Amin Ghazanfari; Emil Björnson; Erik G. Larsson; Mikael Johansson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The cellular network operators have witnessed significant growth in data traffic in the past few decades. This growth occurs due to the increases in the number of connected mobile devices, and further, the emerging mobile applications developed for rendering video-based on-demand services. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Transactional Memory (TM) is an emerging programming paradigm that drastically simplifies the development of concurrent applications by relieving programmers from a major source of complexity: how to ensure correct, yet efficient, synchronization of concurrent accesses to shared memory. Despite the large body of research devoted to this area, existing TM systems still suffer from severe limitations that hamper both their performance and energy efficiency. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Structural Control and Identification of Civil Engineering Structures

    Författare :Tarek Edrees; Francesc Pozo; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Construction Engineering and Management; Byggproduktion; Structural Engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In general, the main purpose of a structural control system is to apply powerful control techniques that improve the behaviour of civil structures under various kinds of dynamic loading. The first part of this thesis presents novel applications of posicast and input shaping control schemes that have never previously been applied in the field of structural control. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Concepts for Power System Small Signal Stability Analysis and Feedback Control Design Considering Synchrophasor Measurements

    Författare :Yuwa Chompoobutrgool; Luigi Vanfretti; Mats Larsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; wide-area damping control; inter-area oscillations; power system stabilizers; PMU; Järnvägsgruppen - Elsystem; Järnvägsgruppen - Elsystem;

    Sammanfattning : In the Nordic power network, the existence of poorly damped low-frequency inter-area oscillations (LFIOs) has long affected stability constraints, and thereby, limited power transfer capacity. Adequate damping of inter-area modes is, thus, necessary to secure system operation and ensure system reliability while increasing power transfers. LÄS MER
