  1. 1. Are We There Yet? Combining qualitative and quantitative methods to study the introduction of CAVs in Sweden, and potential travel demand effects

    Författare :Ella Rebalski; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; travel demand; Connected and Autonomous Vehicle; drivers; force field analysis; Value of Travel Time; sociotechnical transition; DPSIR; pressures;

    Sammanfattning : By law, Sweden must reach net-zero emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) by 2045. Domestic transportation is one sector in which GHG emissions can be reduced substantially. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modeling cost-effective climate change mitigation strategies

    Författare :Fredrik Hedenus; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The challenge of reducing anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases calls for a wide variety of analyses to make the mitigation effort efficient and achievable. This thesis explores five different issues related to carbon abatement. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Lokal kollektivtrafik på samhällsekonomisk grundval

    Författare :Anders Ljungberg; Jan Owen Jansson; Bengt Mattsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Local public transport; Cost-benefit analysis; Straighter bus-routes; Staggered school hours; Peak-load pricing; Zero fare; Lokal kollektivtrafik; Samhällsekonomisk kalkyl; Varierad skolstart; Optimal prissättning; Nolltaxa; Economics; Nationalekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Förutom i Stockholm uppvisar den lokala kollektivtrafiken en nedåtgående trend i trafikutvecklingen, trots en årlig subvention om 10 miljarder kronor. Drift av lokal kollektivtrafik i mindre och medelstora städer baserat på samhällsekonomiska kriterier skulle bl a medföra en prispolitik som kräver en subvention om drygt 50%. LÄS MER

  4. 4. From Sweden to the world: Analysis of future low-carbon electricity systems

    Författare :Xiaoming Kan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; super grid; energy system modeling; net system cost; renewable energy potential; low-carbon electricity system; nuclear power; demand pattern; electric cooling;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing urgency of addressing climate change, along with the sustained cost declines in wind and solar power, has led to a rapid expansion in their deployment to decarbonize the electricity sector. In cost-optimal scenarios for future low-carbon electricity systems, wind and solar often serve as the cornerstone of electricity supply. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The economics of residual waste : policies, price discrimination, and welfare

    Författare :Sef Meens-Eriksson; David Granlund; Runar Brännlund; Thomas Broberg; Raymond Gradus; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Waste economics; net social cost analysis; waste incineration; municipal waste policy; waste taxes; price discrimination; spatial competition; welfare effects; Economics; nationalekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Paper [I]: In this study, a net social cost framework is applied to provide insights on policy issues relating to the cross-border trade in waste fuel. We estimate the net social cost of using imported waste fuel in a highly efficient combined heat and power plant (CHP) in a cold climate by considering both private costs and benefits as well as external costs related to energy production, alternative waste management and fuel transport.
