21. Boxningssporten i Sverige : en studie i idrottens kulturmiljö
Sammanfattning : The object of this study is to review the sport of boxing as a social and cultural phenomenon, to place Swedish boxing and its development in an ideo-historical context, to examine the significance of boxing for its exponents, to compare boxing with other sport, and to attempt to characterize the specific boxing culture. In a broader sense an attempt is made at a general characterization of the cultural environment of sport in ethnological terms. LÄS MER
22. Disgraced : A study of narrative identity in organizations that suffer crises of confidence
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the interface between external impressions of an organization, often referred to as its brand and image, and internal expressions, its culture and the identity of its employees, in organizations that have suffered crises of confidence. More specifically, the thesis seeks to problematize the alignment ideal in the corporate branding perspective (de Chernatony, 2001; Harris and de Chernatony, 2001; Hatch and Schultz, 2001 and Balmer and Sonen, 1999), which suggests that organizations should actively seek to realign external and internal impressions, in cases where they have become misaligned. Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyse the institutionalized Swedish Psychiatric practice during the period 1850 and 1970 - the era of the large mental hospitals - in terms of a modem disciplinary project. 25. I fattiga omständigheter : Fattigvårdens former och understödstagare i Skellefteå socken under 1800-talet
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to shed light upon the Swedish nineteenth century poor relief system, how it operated in a local rural context, how it changed over time, and not least, who was supported and why. It raises questions about how the poor laws were interpreted on the parish level, how the welfare systems interacted with local society and about who was considered to be poor and entitled to support.
