  2. 12. Continuous-filtering Vernier spectroscopy

    Författare :Chuang Lu; Aleksandra Foltynowicz; Ove Axner; Wei Ren; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; spectroscopy; spectrometer; laser; optical frequency comb; optical cavity; NIR; MIR; flame; robust; time resolution; spectrum; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Continuous-filtering Vernier spectroscopy (CF-VS) is a laser-based detection technique that combines the broad spectral coverage of an optical frequency comb (OFC) with the enhanced interaction length provided by an optical cavity. The resonances of the cavity filter the OFC to a small group of comb modes that probe the transitions of the species present in the cavity. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Combustion Characteristics of a Swirl Dry Low Emission Burner Concept for Gas Turbine Application : Experiments and Simulations

    Författare :Atanu Kundu; Kraftverksteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Gas Trubine Combustion; Partially Premixed flame; Flame stabilization; Swirl Flow; Emission; Experiments; Combustor; CFD; PLIF; PIV; Chemiluminescence;

    Sammanfattning : In the current global energy scenario, gas turbine can provide delicate balance between the booming worlds energy requirement and a pollutant free sustainable society. Cleaner combustion of fuel (particular natural gas), efficient, reliable, low maintenance and cost effective operation of gas turbine attracted scientific community to push the limit further (high efficiency and zero emission gas turbine). 4. 14. Investigation of a prototype industrial gas turbine combustor using alternative gaseous fuels

    Författare :Ivan Sigfrid; Kraftverksteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Combustion; Gas Turbine; Laminar flame speed; Stretch; Lean blowout; Emissions;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the effect of alternative gaseous fuels, with high hydrogen content and lower calorific value, on gas turbine combustion was investigated experimentally. The aim of the investigation was to find operational limitations for an experimental burner and to supply data for validation of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). LÄS MER
