  1. 11. Neuroimaging progesterone receptor modulation in patients with premenstrual dysphoric disorder : Is it just in your head?

    Författare :Elisavet Kaltsouni; Erika Comasco; Inger Sundström Poromaa; Johan Wikström; Beate Ditzen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Neuroscience; Neurovetenskap; Obstetrik och gynekologi; Obstetrics and Gynaecology;

    Sammanfattning : Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a menstrually related mood disorder affecting about 5% of women during their reproductive years. The disorder is cyclic, with the symptomatology namely occurring at the luteal phase of a menstrual cycle, for most ovulatory menstrual cycles and entails a series of mood and physical symptoms. 2. 12. Modeling and Control of Voltage Source Converters Connected to the Grid

    Författare :Michael Lindgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; voltage source converter; switching frequency; pulse width modulation; IGBT valve; power electronics; small-signal; L-filter; LCL-filter; transfer function; line filter; active filtering; frequency response; sampling frequency;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the modeling and control of pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage source converters connected to the grid. When voltage source converters are connected to the grid, the power quality and the dynamic performance are affected by the line filter connected between the converter and the grid, and by nonlinearities caused by the switching converter. 3. 13. Fiber optic parametric amplifiers in single and multi wavelength applications

    Författare :Thomas Torounidis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fiber optical parametric amplifiers; optical time division multiplexing; highly nonlinear fiber; pulse generation; wavelength division multiplexing; optical time domain reflectometry.; four-wave mixing; cross-gain saturation; optical gain and bandwidth; transmission;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes fiber optical parametricamplifiers (FOPAs) used in single- and multi-wavelength channel applications.The FOPA was operated as a pulse source in optical transmission systems at bit rates of 10-160 Gb/s. It was evaluated in terms of bit error rate after transmission with link lengths up to 650 km. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Untangling Cortico-Striatal Circuitry and its Role in Health and Disease - A computational investigation

    Författare :Jovana Belic; Jeanette Hellgren Kotaleski; Arvind Kumar; Abigail Morrison; Arthur Leblois; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cortico-striatal circuits; levodopa-induced dyskinesia; Parkinson’s disease; effective connectivity; cross-frequency coupling; corticostriatal network; network oscillations; GABAergic transmission. basal ganglia; striatum; cortex; fast spiking interneurons; medium spiny neurons; neuronal avalanches;

    Sammanfattning : The basal ganglia (BG) play a critical role in a variety of regular motor and cognitive functions. Many brain diseases, such as Parkinson’s diseases, Huntington’s disease and dyskinesia, are directly related to malfunctions of the BG nuclei. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Diffractive Optics Design

    Författare :Jörgen Bengtsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; computer-generated waveguide hologram; diffractive optics; fan-out; millimeter wave radiation; proximity effect; optimal-rotation-angle method; kinoform; integrated optics; beam shaping; outcoupling grating; scalar optics;

    Sammanfattning : Diffractive optical elements (kinoforms) change the way light propagates, and can perform very complex tasks. They can split an incident beam into any number of outgoing, and possibly focused, beams (fan-out). LÄS MER
