Sammanfattning : The early Cambrian Buen Formation of North Greenland is celebrated for hosting one of the oldest Cambrian Burgess Shale-type deposits known to date – the Sirius Passet Lagerstätte. Further south in a shallower shelf facies belt, the Buen Formation yielded organic-walled microfossils (OWMs) that were originally described with a focus on acritarchs. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Arthropods have a rich fossil record spanning the Phanerozoic. Biomineralized forms such as the extinct trilobites are particularly common and are proven index fossils for biostratigraphy. Sammanfattning : The Siberian and North American Arctic have both borne witness to numerous migrations of humans and with them their dogs. This PhD thesis is based on whole genome data from 22 Siberian dogs and 72 North American Arctic dogs, in addition to 186 mitochondrial genomes Siberian and North American Arctic dogs. LÄS MER
5. Long-term changes of mercury, lead and persistent organic pollutants in arctic environments
Sammanfattning : The Arctic represents a huge area with poor infrastructure contributing to limited possibilities to establish monitoring and research programs. From the investigations that have been performed we know that the arctic environment is affected by anthropogenic emissions from lower latitudes, but knowledge about underlying transport processes, the arctic pollution extent and the rates of changes are limited.
