    Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses two different magnetic materials: epitaxial yttrium iron garnet (YIG) and heteromorphous CoFeB-SiO2 films.     Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates how the low-energy magnetic configuration of a mesoscopic chain can be tuned by geometrical modifications.
