1. Mechanisms structuring the pelagic microbial food web : Importance of resource and predation
Sammanfattning : Temporal and spatial variations of pelagic microorganisms in the northern Baltic Sea were studied, as well as factors influencing their abundance and growth rates. Three main questions were asked 1) How does increased productivity influence the structure of the microbial food web? 2) Does predation limitation vary between trophic levels? 3) What is the relative importance of resource and predation limitation at different trophic levels?A field study in the northern Baltic Sea showed that dominating protozoa, flagellates and ciliates, increased with increasing primary productivity from north to south. Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis examines how history teachers in Swedish upper secondary school translate the syllabus for History 1b into practice when they construct, assess and grade student assignments and exams, and how this, in turn, affects students’ final grades and the equivalence of grades.The empirical material was collected from six teachers at five different upper secondary schools, and consisted of, on the one hand, authentic students’ assignments and exams, along with partial grades and resulting final grades, and, on the other hand, the teachers’ reflections on the processes involved in assessing and grading said assignments and exams, and subsequently awarding final grades. The Swedish Child Health Services (CHS) offer preventive health surveillance, including language screening, at 2.5-3 years. However, the screening has only been validated for monolingual children. 4. Specific Language Impairment in Swedish: Grammar and Interaction
Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this work was to explore grammar in Swedish children with Specific Language Impairment (SLI), that is children with impaired language development in the presence of normal hearing and otherwise normal development. In four differents studies, spontaneous data from six children with SLI were analysed and compared with data from either younger children with phonological impairment but normal grammar (PI), or from younger controls with typical development.
