1. Creating Ultrafast Biosensors for Neuroscience
Sammanfattning : Neuronal communication is the basis for all our brain function and relies on regulated exocytosis, a cell function that involves release of quantal amounts of neurotransmitters into the gap space between interconnected neurons to serve as chemical signals. To study exocytosis, which is a fast process that occurs on the timescale of sub-milliseconds to milliseconds, a toolbox of analytical methods has been developed where the electrochemical based techniques offer quantitative and sufficient high temporal recording speed. 2. Immobilizing catalysts on textiles : case of zerovalent iron and glucose oxidase enzyme
Sammanfattning : Catalytic systems are one of the most effective technologies of modern chemical processes. The system uses a molecule called ‘catalyst’ that is capable of catalyzing a reaction without being produced or consumed during the process. LÄS MER
3. Bioelectronic Nanosensor Devices for Environmental and Biomedical Analysis
Sammanfattning : A new type of Bioelectronic Nanosensor Device with potential applications in medicine, biotechnology and environmental analysis was designed. The nanosensor is based on RISFET (Regional Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistor) technology. LÄS MER
4. Development of Ultra-fast Biosensors for Detection of Non-electroactive Neurotransmitters
Sammanfattning : During neuronal communication neurotransmitters are released through the process exocytosis that occurs on the time scale of sub-milliseconds to milliseconds. Neuronal activity by neurotransmitters that are non-electroactive cannot easily be monitored due to limitations in the temporal resolutions of the sensor probes for these analytes. LÄS MER
5. Amperometric Carbon Paste Biosensors Based on Horseradish Peroxidase and Oxidases
Sammanfattning : Amperometric carbon paste peroxide sensors based on horseradish peroxidase (HRP) were developed. In the first approach, HRP was chemically modified with polyethylene glycol to improve the stability of the enzyme in the organic paste matrix and compared with native HRP electrode. LÄS MER
