  1. 6. Road surface characterization using near infrared spectroscopy

    Författare :Johan Casselgren; Matti Kutila; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Spektroskopi; Väglagsklassificering; Friktion; Väglagskarakterisering; Experimental Mechanics; Experimentell mekanik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a technology and method for classifying and characterizing different road conditions such as dry asphalt and asphalt covered with water, ice and snow. The method uses light sources of different wavelengths to illuminate the road surface and a detector to measure the reflected light from the road surfaces, dependent on how the surface have absorbed, scattered and polarized the light it is possible to classify the road condition. 2. 7. Electro-Interfacial Composition Control by Ionic Liquid Technology : Nanostructure, Self-Assembly, and Friction

    Författare :Sichao Li; Mark W. Rutland; Sergei Glavatskih; Nicholas Spencer; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ionic liquids; electrical double layer; self-assembly; electro-interfacial structure; tribotronics; supercapacitors; friction; lubrication; Jonvätskor; elektriskt dubbelskikt; självassociering; gränsskiktselektrostruktur; tribotronik; superkondensatorer; friktion; smörjning; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Given the potential of ionic liquids (ILs) for batteries, supercapacitors and advanced lubricants, it is crucial to understand how electric fields affect the interfacial behaviour in IL-solvent systems and the intricate relationship between nanostructure and tribotronic properties. This thesis investigates the structural and compositional changes of ILs with different solvents at electrified interfaces. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Franchising : Friktion mellan transnationella affärsmodeller och nationell särreglering

    Författare :Anders Fernlund; Frantzeska Papadopoulou; Mauro Zamboni; Bengt Domeij; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Franchising; Transnational business models; National legislation; Disclosure laws; Relationship laws; Friction rules; Legislative studies; Franchising; Transnationella affärsmodeller; Särreglering; Upplysningslagen; Relationslagar; Friktionsbestämmelser; Lagstiftningsforskning; Private Law; civilrätt;

    Sammanfattning : Business models are created by business people in order to achieve a purpose. If a business model is successful, it will be widely used and might become transnational, i.e., not limited by national borders. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Flexibilitetens gränser : Förändring och friktion i arbetsliv och familj

    Författare :Anne Grönlund; Thomas P. Boje; Jonas Edlund; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Sociology; Flexibility; flexibilization; working time; flexible work hours; functional flexibility; labour market regulation; numerical flexibility; gender segregation; gender equality; family; work family conflict; housework; leisure activities; job enrichment; work intensification; Sociologi; Sociology; Sociologi; Sociology; sociologi;

    Sammanfattning : THE TERM FLEXIBILITY has come to be a symbol for a number of grand hopes. An increased flexibility is seen as a key issue for modern organisations and is assumed to pave the way for a more gender equal and family friendly working life. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Surfaces Designed for High and Low Friction

    Författare :Ulrika Pettersson; Staffan Jacobson; Roland Larsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; tribology; friction; surface texture; surface design; low friction; high friction; boundary lubrication; DLC; embossing; Materialvetenskap; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis comprises tribological studies of extremely well-defined surfaces of different designs. Both low-friction and high-friction surfaces were manufactured and experimentally evaluated.In the low-friction studies, lithography and anisotropic etching of silicon was first used as a texturing technique.
