  1. 1. Fc receptors and feedback regulation by antibodies

    Författare :Mikael Karlsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetics; Mouse; B lymphocytes; Fc; receptors; IgG; IgE; FcgRI; FcgRII; FcgRIII; Fc e RI; CD23; Rh prophylaxis; Haemolytic disease of the newborn; Genetik; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik; Pathology; patologi;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this investigation was to determine the role of Fc receptors for IgG (FcγRI, FcγRIIB, FcγRIII and FcRn) in immunoregulation. IgG is known to enhance the response to soluble antigens such as bovine serum albumin whereas the response to particulate antigens is suppressed. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Fc receptors and feedback enhancement of antibody responses

    Författare :Sara Wernersson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetics; mouse; transgenic knockout; immune regulation; B lymphocytes; Fc receptors; IgG; IgE; FcgRI; FcgRII; FcgRIII; CD23; Genetik; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik; Pathology; patologi;

    Sammanfattning : Antibodies are important for the defence against microorganisms, but are also involved inpathological reactions such as allergy or autoimmunity. The exact mechanisms involved inregulation of antibody responses is still largely unknown. In this thesis, immune regulationby antibodies and the receptors they bind to (FcR), were investigated. 3. 3. The B lymphocyte in Staphylococcus aureus arthritis

    Författare :Inger Gjertsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Staphylococcus aureus; mice; arthritis; sepsis; B cells; Fcg receptors; CD22; ; IL-4; IL-10; IFN-g.;

    Sammanfattning : Joint infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus leads to heavy synovitis and rapid destruction of bone and cartilage. Permanent loss of joint function is seen in 20-50% of the patients, despite early eradication of the bacteria with antibiotics. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Immune complex induced IgG1-rheumatoid factor production

    Författare :Eva Nordström; Jan Andersson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; immunologi; Immunology;

    Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic crippling disease mainly characterised by inflammation in the joints. Most patients with rheumatoid arthritis are seropositive, i.e. have increased serum levels of antibodies against the constant part of IgG, so called rheumatoid factors (RF). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Antibody- and osteoclast-dependent mechanisms of chronic pain

    Författare :Alexandra Jurczak; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Chronic pain is a frequent condition that affects approximately 20% of worldwide population with a higher prevalence among women. Due to the lack of optimal treatment, chronic pain leads to decreased life quality as well as significant physical and psychological complications. LÄS MER
