21. Structural changes during cellulose composite processing
Sammanfattning : Two approaches for creating a new all-cellulose composite material have been studied: the biosynthesis of compartmentalised bacterial cellulose fibril aggregates and the compression moulding of commercial chemical wood pulps processed with only water. The objective was to study the structural changes during processing and the complexity of relating the mechanical properties of the final biocomposites to the nanoscale structure was highlighted. 22. Investigating cellulose structure using solid-state NMR spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : Cellulose is the most abundant polymer in nature and it is an important constituent in most flowers, trees, and even some animals. Cellulose has an established use in many important products, such as textile fibers, paper and paperboard, and recently new applications have received increased attention. LÄS MER
23. Investigating structural changes of cellulose using NMR spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : In this thesis solid-state NMR and NMR cryoporometry were used to gain information of the structure of cellulose. Measurements were conducted on both native and regenerated cellulose, exposed to a range of different treatments. LÄS MER
24. The relation between the supramolecular structure of cellulose and its hydrolysability
Sammanfattning : The liberation of fermentable sugars from cellulosic biomass during enzymatic hydrolysis is often incomplete. One of the factors limiting the efficiency of enzymatic hydrolysis is the structural properties of cellulose. LÄS MER
25. Population Dynamics, Diet and Migrations of the Únetice Culture in Poland
