Ngarla has previously been spoken in the Pilbara region of northwestern Western Australia, and all the linguistic material used in the thesis has the late Ngarla elder Alexander (Nyapiri) Brown as its source. The main objectives are to posit a single rule for its formation and to question the implications of the agent polysemy.     Sammanfattning : Mbugwe is an endangered Bantu language spoken in north central Tanzania. This PhD dissertation is a description of the Mbugwe language with a focus on tone and verbal morphology, based on the author’s fieldwork. This is the first detailed description of the language.
