    Författare :Setareh Janbakhsh; Bahram Moshfegh; Alexander Zhivov; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multiple interacting jets; round jets; confluent jets; wall jet; ventilation strategy; air distribution system; air supply device; ventilation performance; thermal comfort; energy-saving potential; measurement; numerical predictions; RANS turbulence models; renormalization group RNG k– ε ; realizable Re k– ε ; and shear stress transport SST k– ω ;

    Sammanfattning : This study presents air distribution systems that are based on confluent jets; this system can be of interest for the establishment of indoor environments, to fulfill the goals of indoor climate and energy-efficient usage. The main objective of this study is to provide deeper understanding of the flow field development of a supply device that is designed based on wall confluent jets and to investigate the ventilation performance by experimental and numerical methods. 2. 2. Air jets in ventilation applications

    Författare :Yue Zou; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Air jet; velocity; ventilation; CFD; measurement;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of air distribution systems for HVAC is tocreate proper air quality and thermal conditions in an occupiedzone. In mixing type air distribution systems air is suppliedinto a room through various types of outlets and distributed byturbulent air jets. These air jets are the primary factorsaffecting room air motion. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Behovsstyrd ventilation i lokalbyggnader-Innebörd och strömningstekniska konsekvenser

    Författare :Andreas Karlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; duct systems; energy efficiency flow mechanics; DCV; energy; pressure; ventilation; control-on-demand; demand controlled ventilation;

    Sammanfattning : In todays society energy efficiency and energy savings are becoming increasingly important. The building sector represents a major part of Swedens total use of energy. Furthermore, ventilation constitutes the single largest factor in the energy balance of buildings. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Ventilation distribution in the lung periphery measured by inert gas washout : influence of increased gravity, anti-G suit pressure, body posture, and breathing pattern

    Författare :Mikael Grönkvist; Göran Hedenstierna; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :acceleration; anti-G suit; body posture; cdi; dcdi; human centrifuge; He; hypergravuty; lung; multiple-breath washout; single-breath washout; SF 6; standing; supune; trapped gas; ventilation distribution; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : The lung is highly sensitive to forces of gravity and acceleration, and to surrounding pressures. This thesis aimed to assess the effects on ventilation distribution in peripheral lung units when changing the direction or magnitude of the gravitational vector and when compressing the lower body half with an anti-G suit (AGS). 5. 5. Ventilation Performance in Operating Rooms : A Numerical Assessment

    Författare :Cong Wang; Sture Holmberg; Sasan Sadrizadeh; Anna Bogdan; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; operating room ventilation; bacteria-carrying particles; laminar airflow; mixing ventilation; temperature-controlled airflow; computation fluid dynamics; Lagrangian particle tracking; Civil and Architectural Engineering; Byggvetenskap; Strömnings- och klimatteori; Fluid and Climate Theory;

    Sammanfattning : Surgical site infections (SSIs) remain one of the most challenging postoperative complicationsof healthcare and threaten the lives of millions of patients each year. Current evidence hasshown a positive relationship between the airborne concentration of bacteria-carryingparticles (BCPs) in the operating room (OR) and the rate of infections. LÄS MER
