1. On the Load Distribution and Design of a Chain Drive
Sammanfattning : Three methods are presented to calculate the load distribution in a chain drive containing two sprockets and one chain. The rollers, which are in contact with the sprockets, can move along the tooth flanks and their positions are given by force equilibrium. LÄS MER
2. Surfactants at non-polar surfaces
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis work was to investigate theadsorption of surfactants to different nonpolar interfaces.Particularly, the effects of the polar group and the nature ofthe hydrophobic interface were elucidated. The interfacialbehavior of the liquid-vapor interface was investigated bymeans of surface tension measurements. LÄS MER
3. Ordningsmakter inom ordningsmakten : Diskurskamp, dilemman och motstånd i blivande polisers samtal om mångfald
Sammanfattning : This thesis identifies and describes the diversity aspects of police discourse based on the accounts of police trainees in their final year. Specifically, the focus is on culture, religion and ethnicity, and four main questions are addressed: What is said about diversity? How is it articulated? What subject positions are offered and assumed? In what ways are discourses of diversity sustained and challenged? The analysis of discourse in use is based on field studies conducted at the Swedish National Police Academy and focus group interviews with police trainees in the educational setting and during their trainee placement period. 4. On Institutional Demands in Banking and the Exchange of Hard and Soft Accounting Information
Sammanfattning : The overarching purpose of the thesis is to explore how institutional demands influence banks, which has been a core issue in banking research. This has become even more critical since the financial crisis of 2007–2009. LÄS MER
5. Algorithms and Interaction Potentials: phase density, surface tension and carbon dioxide
Sammanfattning : This thesis is an amalgamation of articles (Papers I–V) by the author. We present a perturbation algorithm to calculate the phase density, and thus the partition function including its temperature dependence. LÄS MER
