36. CNS-Targeted Cell Therapy for Multiple Sclerosis
Sammanfattning : Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disorder of the central nervous system (CNS). In the current thesis, we have preformed an immunological investigation of patients with MS and developed an immunosuppressive cell therapy that could be beneficial for these patients. LÄS MER
37. Recombinant antibodies and tumor targeting
Sammanfattning : Different antibody derived constructs are rapidly advancing as putative tools for treatment of malignant diseases. Antibody engineering has added significant new technologies to modify size, affinities, solubility, stability and biodistribution properties for immunoconjugates. LÄS MER
38. Radiohalogenated Compounds for Tumor Targeting : Synthesis and Radiolabeling
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the synthesis and radiohalogenation of compounds of potential use for tumor targeting. The first section describes the synthesis and radioiodination of DNA intercalating compounds. The compounds are derivatives of 9-aminoacridine, and the anthracyclins daunorubicin and doxorubicin. 39. Towards Personalized Cancer Therapy : New Diagnostic Biomarkers and Radiosensitization Strategies
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the evaluation of biomarkers for radio-immunodiagnostics and radio-immunotherapy and on radiosensitization strategies after HSP90 inhibition, as a step towards more personalized cancer medicine. There is a need to develop new tracers that target cancer-specific biomarkers to improve diagnostic imaging, as well as to combine treatment strategies to potentiate synergistic effects. LÄS MER
40. Studies on the immuno-modulating properties of the cholera toxin A1-based fusion protein CTA1-DD
Sammanfattning : The present work was aimed at exploring the immuno-modulating properties of the novel cholera toxin (CT)-based vaccine adjuvant CTA1-DD, which combines the full enzymatic activity of the A1 subunit of CT with B cell targeting. We have studied the efficacy of the CTA1-DD adjuvant to enhance immune responses in mice after nasal administration. LÄS MER
