  1. 16. Image Quality Optimisation and Dose Management in CT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT

    Författare :Marcus Söderberg; Malmö Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; CT; SPECT; PET; dosimetry; image quality; optimisation; dose reduction; automatic exposure control; contrast medium; phantom; image reconstruction; human observer;

    Sammanfattning : The significant increase in the use of CT, alone or combined with SPECT or PET, has raised concerns about patient radiation exposure and the consequent increased risk of malignancy later in life. The overall objective of this work was to evaluate and optimise different approaches for minimising patient radiation absorbed dose and maintaining or improving image quality in CT, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT. 2. 17. Hepatitis C virus infection in patients receiving opiate substitution therapy in Sweden

    Författare :Anna Jerkeman; Enheten för infektionssjukdomar; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a blood borne virus effectively spread through injection practices. Consequently, people who inject drugs (PWID) are at the center of the current HCV epidemic in industrialized countries, with regards both to prevalence and incidence. LÄS MER

  3. 18. A Pill for the Ill? : Depression, Medicalization and Public Health

    Författare :Andreas Vilhelmsson; Socialmedicin och global hälsa; []

    Sammanfattning : Mental disorders, especially depression, have been increasingly described as a growing burden to global public health. Sammanfattning : Total hip arthroplasty is a very successful procedure. Despite this fact, however, a certain portion of patients has to be revised. One major reason for revision is the wear of the polyethylene leading to loosening and osteolysis. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Altered movement patterns and deviating muscular activity in individuals with anterior cruciate ligament injury

    Författare :Anna Trulsson; Människan i rörelse: hälsa och rehabilitering; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Movement pattern; Physiotherapy; Motor control; Sensorimotor control; Neuromuscular control; Anterior cruciate ligament; Muscular activity; Motor skills; Single leg squat; Electromyography EMG ; Postural orientation; Assessment; Task performance; Reproducibility of findings; Performance test; Hop test; knee; dynamic joint stability;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to increase the understanding of altered movement patterns in individuals with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in order to improve ACL rehabilitation, and to develop an observational instrument termed Test for Substitution Patterns (TSP) for standardized, quantifiable scoring of altered movement patterns in legs and trunk. In all, 142 participants, 93 with ACL-rupture (37 women) and 49 uninjured participants were investigated. LÄS MER
