21. Atrial fibrillation : clinical presentation and prevention of recurrences
Sammanfattning : Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained arrhythmia of clinical importance. AF is known to decrease quality of life and it is related to an increased morbidity and a risk of tromboembolic events. AF may also be asymptomatic, and to what extent patients actually are able to distinguish between sinus rhythm (SR) and AF is unknown. LÄS MER
22. The Non-Player Character : Exploring the believability of NPC presentation and behavior
Sammanfattning : Over the last few decades there has been immense growth in the video game industry, and we have seen great improvements in both graphics and audio. Unfortunately, the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and non-player characters (NPCs) has not proceeded at the same pace. LÄS MER

24. Design of a multiple view presentation and interaction manager
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the design model of a presentation and interaction manager for an advanced information system, based on concepts developed in the domain of User Interface Management Systems - primarily, the separation of presentation and interaction components from application semantics and data. We show our design to be in many ways an extension of that common in UIMSs; significantly, we apply presentation separation to data, as well as programs; we allow presentation and interaction methods to be selected dynamically at run-time, which gives rise to the concept of multiple views on the same information, or application semantics; and, we may adapt to the capabilities of different computer systems. 25. Processing and presentation of exogenous antigen by dendritic cells
Sammanfattning : Dendritic cells (DC) play a key role in the immune system. In this thesis, we have investigated and characterized pathways for the processing and presentation of exogenous OVA on MHC-I ("cross-presentation") and how these were influenced by the purine nucleoside Adenosine (Ado), an immune regulator that accumulates to high concentrations at sites of inflammation and tumor growth.
