  1. 11. Two is one too many : dyadic memory collaboration effects on encoding and retrieval of episodes

    Författare :Jan Andersson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the present thesis was to investigate how individual memory potential in different tasks is affected by collaboration in social settings. Collaborative group dimensions were also studied: friendship, age, and gender. The principal comparison was between an actual collaborative dyad and the sum of the two individuals' memory potential, i. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Emotion and Learning - A Computational Model of the Amygdala

    Författare :Jan Morén; Kognitionsvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Applied and experimental psychology; Sociologi; Sociology; orbitofrontal cortex; learning; hippocampus; emotions; computational models; mygdala; classical conditioning; Tillämpad och experimentell psykologi; Philosophy; Filosofi;

    Sammanfattning : The amygdala is a small subcortical structure that has long been implicated in the conditioning of fear and other emotions. It is heavily interconnected to a number of both cortical and subcortical structures and is thus well placed to integrate sensory inputs from multiple areas to produce emotional reactions directly as well as influence learning and attention systems. 3. 13. Spike-Based Bayesian-Hebbian Learning in Cortical and Subcortical Microcircuits

    Författare :Philip Tully; Anders Lansner; Matthias Hennig; Gordon Pipa; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Bayes rule; synaptic plasticity and memory modeling; intrinsic excitability; naïve Bayes classifier; spiking neural networks; Hebbian learning; neuromorphic engineering; reinforcement learning; temporal sequence learning; attractor network; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Cortical and subcortical microcircuits are continuously modified throughout life. Despite ongoing changes these networks stubbornly maintain their functions, which persist although destabilizing synaptic and nonsynaptic mechanisms should ostensibly propel them towards runaway excitation or quiescence. 4. 14. Learning and memory in moths - plasticity in behaviour and neurophysiology

    Författare :Ruey-Jane Fan; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; proboscis extension reflex PER ; LTM; MTM; STM; memory; inter-trial-interval ITI ; inter-stimulus interval ISI ; US; CS; olfaction; Associative learning; classical conditioning; discrimination; the US pathway; Ecology; Ekologi; Animal physiology; Djurfysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The moth, Spodoptera littoralis, was demonstrated to be a new model system for studying mechanisms underlying odour conditioning. In the experiments a restrained moth was trained to learn an association between a conditioned stimulus (CS) and an unconditioned stimulus (US). LÄS MER

  5. 15. Barns tidiga läsutveckling : En studie av tidiga språkliga och kognitiva förmågor och senare läsutveckling

    Författare :Helena Krantz; Kristina Danielsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; early literacy development; preschool language and cognitive skills; tidig läsutveckling; språkliga och kognitiva förmågor; specialpedagogik; Special Education;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this study is to analyze and describe the reading of a group of pupils in a preschool class and grade 1 and to search for links between preschool language and cognitive skills and early literacy development. A total of 49 pupils participated in the study and their literacy development was analyzed over two consecutive years in preschool class and grade 1, partly by teacher evaluations and partly by reading tests.
