1. Linear, Non-Linear, and Synchronizing Spin Wave Modes in Spin Hall Nano-Oscillators
Sammanfattning : Spin Hall nano-oscillators (SHNOs) are nanoscale spintronic devices that generate microwave signals with highly tunable frequency. This thesis focuses on improving the signal quality of nanoconstriction-based SHNOs and also on developing a better understanding of their magnetization dynamics. LÄS MER
2. A Safety-centered Planning-time Framework for Automated Process Compliance Checking
Sammanfattning : Safety-critical systems, whose failure could lead to catastrophic consequences, are everywhere. Not only environments with high-risk functions, e.g., nuclear power plants, are safety-critical systems. LÄS MER
4. Power Scaling of Highly Compact Single-Frequency Yb-Doped Fiber Amplifiers
Sammanfattning : Both scientific interests and industrial applications have stimulated the advance of single-frequency laser technology. The high spatial and temporal coherence of this technology has facilitated many applications such as gravitational wave detection, high-precision fiber sensors, high-resolution spectroscopy, holography, and nonlinear optical conversion. 5. Bio-coal for the sustainable industry : A scientific approach to optimizing production, storage, and usages
Sammanfattning : Bio-coal produced from biomass is a promising material to replace fossil coal in order to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emission from the industrial sector. Bio-coal with quality comparable to that of fossil coal can be produced by high-temperature pyrolysis at ≥500 ºC, but the production efficiency is relatively low due to low bio-coal yield at high pyrolysis temperatures.
