1. Functional and Modular As=C and P=C Group Motifs
Sammanfattning : This work focuses on the design, synthesis, characterization, and application projections of low-coordinated heavy pnictogen-containing (described by the generic letter E, hence E=C) phosphaalkenes (P=C) and arsaalkenes (As=C), with emphasis on the E=C group motifs. The work aims to understand their functional and modular character, reactivity, and potential applications by stabilizing, isolating, and characterizing these species in low-coordination environments. 2. The Chicago Painter and the Villa Giulia Painter's group
Sammanfattning : The Chicago Painter is a member of the Villa Giulia Painter's group during the decades around 450 B.C. in Athens. He is a red-figure vase painter who has been named by J. LÄS MER
3. Studies on the Polymorphism and Transcriptional Regulation of the ABO and P1PK Histo-blood Group Genes
Sammanfattning : Antigens of the clinically important ABO and P1PK blood group systems are carbohydrate structures. Thus the underlying genes do not encode antigens directly but glycosyltransferases that add specific sugar molecules to selected precursor chains. LÄS MER
4. Methyltransferase Ash1, histone methylation and their impact on Polycomb repression
Sammanfattning : Antagonistic interactions between Polycomb Group (PcG) and Trithorax Group (TrxG) proteins orchestrate the expression of key developmental genes. Distinct maternally loaded repressors establish the silenced state of these genes in cells where they should not be expressed and later PcG proteins sense whether a target gene is inactive and maintain the repression throughout multiple cell divisions.
