  1. 16. Concrete Structures Subjected to Fragment Impacts

    Författare :Joosef Leppänen; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; perforation; penetration; strain rate; scabbing; dynamic loading; fragment and projectile impacts; numerical simulations; spalling; concrete; blast wave;

    Sammanfattning : As concrete is commonly used for protective structures, how a blast wave and fragment impacts from an explosion affect the concrete is an important issue. Concrete subjected to explosive loading responds very differently from statically loaded structures. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Structural Behaviour of Deteriorated Concrete Structures

    Författare :Kamyab Zandi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; FE analysis; concrete; stirrup; corrosion; bond; pull-out test; frost;

    Sammanfattning : A growing concern for better assessment of existing concrete structures has revealed a need for improved understanding of the structural effects of deterioration. The two most common causes of deterioration in concrete structures are freezing of the concrete and corrosion of the reinforcement. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Structural Behaviour of Concrete Railway Sleepers

    Författare :Rikard Gustavson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; concrete; finite element analysis; three-wire strand; sleeper; bond; strand; pull-through tests; steel encased; push-in tests; bond mechanism; numerical bond model; dynamic loads;

    Sammanfattning : The railway concrete sleeper is an important part of the railway track structure. The sleeper member requires substantial engineering skills during the design and manufacturing process in order to fulfil the requirements set by modern train traffic. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Impregnation of concrete structures : transportation and fixation of moisture in water repellent treated concrete

    Författare :Anders Johansson; Johan Silfwerbrand; Lars-Olof Nilsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Building engineering; Byggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Water repellent agents, today mainly consisting of alkylalkoxysilanes, are often used on concrete to prolong the service life of the structure. This is accomplished by protecting the reinforcement bars from chlorides or by changing the moisture content inside. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Corrosion of steel bars in fibre reinforced concrete: corrosion mechanisms and structural performance

    Författare :Carlos Gil Berrocal; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; residual flexural capacity; chloride-induced corrosion; electrical resistivity; Fibre reinforced concrete; reinforcement bond; durability; cracking;

    Sammanfattning : The viability of employing fibre reinforcement to improve the durability performance of RC structures by delaying and/or reducing rebar corrosion and by mitigating the structural impact of corrosion-induced damage have been investigated. Given the enhanced crack control of FRC, it could be advantageous to use fibres in civil engineering structures to decrease the ingress of corrosion-initiation substances. LÄS MER
