    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Textile; e-textiles; textile-based diagnostics; microfluidics; glucose sensing; sweat based diagnostics; wearable sensors; micro total analysis systems μTAS ; electrochemistry and organic electrochemical transistor OECT ; Fiber- och polymervetenskap; Fibre and Polymer Science; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Materials Science and Engineering; Bioteknologi; Biotechnology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis, written by Ingrid Öberg Månsson at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and entitled “Electroanalytical devices with fluidic control using textile materials and methods”, presents experimental studies on the development of textile based electronic devices and biosensors. One of the reasons why this is of interest is the growing demand for integrated smart products for wearable health monitoring or energy harvesting. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Composing over time, temporal patterns : in Textile Design

    Författare :Barbara Jansen; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; temporal patterns; textile design; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis is a first attempt investigating a new field, exploring the visual effects of movement using light as a continuous time-based medium. Composing over time, temporal patterns - in Textile Design is a practice based research project that investigates the following research question: What does it mean, if time and change – constant movement – becomes part of the textile design expression? The research question has been investigated in a number of experiments that explore the visual effects of movement using light integrated into textile structures as a medium. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Designing dynamic textile patterns

    Författare :Linda Worbin; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; smart textiles; textile design; dynamic textile patterns;

    Sammanfattning : Designing Dynamic Textile Patterns Progress in chemistry, fibres and polymers technology provides textile designers with new expressive materials, making it possible to design dynamic textile patterns, where several different expressions are inherent in the same textile, textiles that, for example, could alternate between a striped and checkered pattern. Textiles are traditionally designed and produced to keep a given, static expression during their life cycle; a striped pattern is supposed to keep its stripes. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Electrically conductive textile coatings with PEDOT:PSS

    Författare :Maria Åkerfeldt; Anne Schwarz; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :textile coating; conductive coating; conjugated polymers; ICP; PEDOT:PSS; textile properties; textile sensor; printed electronics; Smart textiles; poly 3; 4-ethylene dioxythiophene -poly styrene sulfonate ; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Sammanfattning : In smart textiles, electrical conductivity is often required for several functions, especially contacting (electroding) and interconnecting. This thesis explores electrically conductive textile surfaces made by combining conventional textile coating methods with the intrinsically conductive polymer complex poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene)-poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS). 5. 15. Textile sound design

    Författare :Margareta Zetterblom; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; textile design; sound design; acoustics; pierre schaeffer; sound absorbing textiles; Textil design;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims at developing conceptual and methodological tools in order to adapt sound within the textile design area. Occupational groups working with sound are to a large extent problem driven. Accordingly, textile designers working with sound- affecting properties of textiles concentrate on their dampening qualities. LÄS MER
