Sammanfattning : A major trend in facility siting research focuses on economic and psychological aspects of land-use regarding the location of potentially hazardous technological facilities including storage for high-level radioactive waste, landfills, chemical plants, large-scale dams, or waste incinerators. 14. SOMWeb : Supporting a Distributed Clinical Community of Practice Using Semantic Web Technologies
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns supporting the collaboration and knowledge sharing of distributed clinicians of oral medicine, a sub-discipline of dentistry. The Swedish Oral Medicine Network (SOMNet) holds monthly telephone conferences where a group of clinicians discuss interesting and difficult cases, which distinguishes it from one-to-one teleconsultations. 15. Health-promoting intervention for community-dwelling older adults - Focusing on the concept of frailty and intervention outcome
Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim of this thesis was to increase our understanding of the concept of frailty in relation to older adults, and to review and evaluate outcomes in health-promoting interventions for community-dwelling older adults. Methods: In study I, definitions of frailty applied in, the content and organisation in, and the effects of, health-promoting interventions for community-dwelling frail older persons were systematically reviewed using the International Classification of Functioning Disability and Health (ICF) as a structural framework.
