1. Learning aspects of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and learning activities in basic life support - a study among laypersons at workplaces in Sweden
Sammanfattning : Abstract Background: Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Despite healthcare improvements, prevention for cardiovascular health, training in adult basic life support (BLS) with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillation (AED), together with increased public awareness of cardiovascular disease, survival from OHCA still remains poor. 4. The role of Six1 in muscle progenitor cells and the establishment of fast-twitch muscle fibres
Sammanfattning : Myogenesis is the process of skeletal muscle tissue formation where committed muscle progenitor cells differentiate into skeletal muscle fibres. Depending on the instructive cues the muscle progenitor cells receive they will differentiate into specific fibre types with different properties. LÄS MER
5. Regulation of cell polarity and invasion by TGF-β and BMP signaling
Sammanfattning : Transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) and bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathways are involved in many physiological processes during embryonic and adult life. TGF-β promotes epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT). We identified a gene target of TGF-β signaling, encoding the salt-inducible kinase 1 (SIK1). LÄS MER
