The focus of the thesis was on differences in weight status in siblings born before and after maternal bariatric surgery, and on changes in weight and psychosocial functioning in partners and children of women undergoing Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB). 19. Congenital adrenal hyperplasia in adults
Sammanfattning : Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is an autosomal recessive disorder affecting adrenal steroid synthesis. More than 95% of CAH cases are caused by reduced 21-hydroxylase function leading to variable extent of cortisol and aldosterone deficiency in addition to androgen excess.
