  1. 11. On Some Aspects of Design of Electric Power Ancillary Service Markets

    Författare :Jin Zhong; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; spinning reserve; deregulation; electricity market; reactive power; frequency regulation and optimal power flow; ancillary services;

    Sammanfattning : Ancillary services are defined as all those activities on the interconnected grid that are necessary to support the transmission of power while maintaining reliable operation and ensuring the required degree of quality and safety. There are several activities of the operator that come under the preview of ancillary services. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Interruptible Load Services in Deregulated Power Market

    Författare :Anh Tuan Le; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; congestion management; deregulated electricity market; ancillary services; optimal power flow; reserve generation; interruptible load management;

    Sammanfattning : Since the nineties decade, many electric utilities world-wide have been under restructuring from vertically integrated functioning to deregulated open-market system. In the erstwhile vertically integrated utilities, the system operator sought to maximize the social welfare with distributional equity (meeting the load at all time) as the main criteria, for the system as a whole. 3. 13. Fast-response rotating brushless exciters for improved stability of synchronous generators

    Författare :Jonas Kristiansen Nøland; Urban Lundin; Oskar Wallmark; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; synchronous generators; permanent magnet machines; excitation systems; power electronic interfaces; Engineering Science with specialization in Science of Electricity; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektricitetslära;

    Sammanfattning : The Norwegian Network Code FIKS from the Norwegian Transmission System Operator (TSO) Statnett, states that synchronous generators ≥ 25 MVA must have a static excitation system. It also includes requirements on the step time response and the available field winding ceiling voltage of the excitation system. LÄS MER

  4. 14. On Distributed Balancing of Wind Power Forecast Deviations in Competitive Power Systems

    Författare :Richard Scharff; Lennart Söder; Mikael Amelin; Gerard L. Doorman; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; balancing; wind power integration; electricity market; wind power variations; wind power forecast errors;

    Sammanfattning : Wind power generation does, on the one hand, contribute to a less polluting and more sustainable electric power generation mix. On the other hand, the uncertainty and the variability of the power output do challenge the operation of the power system: hourly variations in wind power generation are hardly predictable in a precise way. 5. 15. Channel Estimation Aspects of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces

    Författare :Doga Gürgünoglu; Gabor Fodor; Emil Björnson; Jaap van de Beek; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reconfigurable intelligent surface; channel estimation; pilot contamination; positioning; angle of arrival estimation; integrated sensing and communications; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In the sixth generation of wireless communication systems (6G), there exist multiple candidate enabling technologies that help the wireless network satisfy the ever-increasing demand for speed, coverage, reliability, and mobility. Among these technologies, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) extend the coverage of a wireless network into dead zones, increase capacity, and facilitate integrated sensing and communications tasks by consuming very low power, thus contributing to energy efficiency as well.
