  1. 1. Toward Predictive Maintenance in a Cloud Manufacturing Environment : A population-wide approach

    Författare :Bernard Schmidt; Lihui Wang; Amos H. C. Ng; Fuqing Yuan; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; predictive maintenance; condition monitoring; population-wide approach; machine learning; double ball-bar measurement; Production and Automation Engineering; Produktion och automatiseringsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The research presented in this thesis is focused on improving industrial maintenance by using better decision support that is based on a wider range of input information. The core objective is to research how to integrate information from a population of similar monitored objects. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Plasma levels of matrix metalloproteinase‐9 in a normal population : a psychoneuroendocrinological approach

    Författare :Peter Garvin; Margareta Kristenson; John Carstensen; Lena Jonasson; Annika Rosengren; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Several large‐scale epidemiological studies have demonstrated the prognostic significance of psychosocial factors and stress for coronary artery disease (CAD). Observations of sudden changes in CAD incidence have led to the proposal of mechanisms regarding atherosclerotic plaque vulnerability. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Clinical-epidemiological studies on cutaneous malignant melanoma : A register approach

    Författare :Johan Lyth; John Carstensen; Christer Lindholm; Hans Starkhammar; Håkan Olsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Melanoma; early detection; population-based; registers; time trends; survival; prognostic factors; tumour thickness; stage at diagnosis; level of education; socioeconomic status; healthcare costs;

    Sammanfattning : The incidence of cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM) is steadily increasing. Most of the patients have thin CMM with a good prognosis and a 5-year survival of about 90%. The prognosis is highly related to tumour thickness and clinical stage at diagnosis. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Genomics of population decline

    Författare :Tom van der Valk; Katerina Guschanski; Aylwyn Scally; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; genetic diversity; minimal-invasive samples; population decline; inbreeding; genetic purging; eastern gorillas; Dryas monkey; Biologi med inriktning mot zooekologi; Biology with specialization in Animal Ecology;

    Sammanfattning : With human populations forecasted to grow in the next decades, many mammals face increasing anthropogenic threats. The consequential population declines are a precursor to extinctions, as small populations are not only more sensitive to stochastic events, but reduction in population size is generally also followed by a decrease in genetic diversity, which in turn reduces adaptive potential and fitness of the population. 5. 5. Sexually transmitted diseases and sexual behaviour among young Swedish women : a population-based study

    Författare :Monica Jonsson; Roger Karlsson; Viveca Odlind; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; population-based; women; symptoms; C.trachomatis; HPV; HSV-2; Chlamydia antibodies; wet smear; STD; sexual behaviour; risk behaviour;

    Sammanfattning : Most epidemiologic studies of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are based on patients seeking help or advice at various health care settings. Because many STD:s are subclinical, epidemiologic surveys can be strengthened by a population-based approach. LÄS MER
