21. Future trends in urban stormwater quality : effects of changes in climate, catchment characteristics and processes and socio-economic factors
Sammanfattning : Climate change and progressing urbanization cause numerous environmental concerns, including the impacts on urban drainage. Such impacts were addressed during the last two decades with focus on hydraulic overloading of drainage systems and the means of overload remediation by stormwater management. LÄS MER
22. Reducing Stormwater Pollution - Performance of Retention Ponds and Street Sweeping
Sammanfattning : Stormwater, in this study defined as surface runoff in urban areas, is known to transport large quantities of toxic substances to receiving waters. Therefore different practices to treat stormwater have been proposed. In Sweden retention ponds have become a common treatment method during the past decade. LÄS MER
23. Diffusive Combustion of Ethanol in a Dual-Fuel Direct Injection Compression Ignition Engine
Sammanfattning : The impact of climate change due to global warming necessitates rapid and extensive measures to enhance the sustainability of the energy and transport sectors. In this context, there are large environmental and societal benefits to be gained by replacing diesel with renewable fuels for road freight transport. LÄS MER
24. The Threat to the Baltic Salmon - a Combination of Persistent Pollutants, Parasite and Oxidative Stress
Sammanfattning : Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) from the Baltic Sea suffer from a reproduction disease known as the M74-syndrome.
