The aim of this project was to investigate the prevalence and effects of platelet inhibition in the context of cardiac surgery, the bleeding problems that may occur, and treatment of bleeding complications. Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) reduces the risk for ischaemic events in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) but increases the bleeding risk, both for spontaneous bleedings and procedure-related bleedings for the subset of ACS patients undergoing urgent CABG.    Sammanfattning : Despite the currently recommended dual antiplatelet treatment (DAT) with aspirin and P2Y12 inhibition in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) there is a risk of adverse clinical outcome. Pharmacodynamic (PD) poor response to clopidogrel occurs in ~ 30% of clopidogrel-treated patients and is associated with an increased risk of recurrent thrombotic events. LÄS MER
