    Författare :Jakob Gyllenpalm; Per-Olof Wickman; Sven-Olof Holmgren; Fouad Abd El Khalick; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; inquiry; secondary school; teacher education; laboratory work; hypothesis; experiment; language; sociocultural; pragmatism; customs; cultural institutions; pivot term; nature of science; focus groups; Subject didactics; Ämnesdidaktik; naturvetenskapsämnenas didaktik; Science Education;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis is to describe and analyse customs of science teaching in secondary schools and teacher education programmes in Sweden in relation to the notion of “inquiry” in science education. The main focus is on customs of language use and the educational goal of learning about scientific inquiry as distinct from the related goals of learning to do inquiry and learning canonical science content. 2. 2. Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: long-term outcome in adults and adolescents. Clinical results, health-related quality of life, radiographic findings and bone mineral assessments

    Författare :Olle Månsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; health-related quality of life; anterior cruciate ligament; reconstruction; bone mineral density; osteoarthritic; radiography; adolescents;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to measure health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and assess pre-operative factors predicting good outcome of HRQoL after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Furthermore, to specifically assess long-term radiographic findings, clinical results, and bone mineral density in adolescents after ACL reconstruction. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Is it possible to predict the outcome of an anterior cruciate ligament injury?

    Författare :Ioannis Kostogiannis; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis centers on a well-studied cohort of 100 patients, which received a treatment regimen of initial rehabilitation and activity modification to cope with Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. The data, collected prospectively and longitudinally, cover a span of 15 years after initial injury. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Generalized Joint Hypermobility and Specific Knee Laxity: Aspects of influence on the Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injured Knee

    Författare :David Sundemo; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Anterior cruciate ligament; Knee injury; Knee laxity; Generalized joint hypermobility;

    Sammanfattning : Injury to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the most serious sports-related injuries, with significant short- and long-term morbidity. Generalized joint hypermobility (GJH) and specific knee laxity are factors that have been associated with an increased risk of ACL injury and inferior postoperative outcome, but the state of the evidence is unclear and the available information is limited. 5. 5. Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction - Graft failures, surgical techniques and patient-reported outcome measures

    Författare :Haukur Björnsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; knee; anterior cruciate ligament; double-bundle; single-bundle; register; hamstring tendon; patellar tendon; graft failure; patient-reported outcome measures;

    Sammanfattning : Injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) can result in increased joint laxity, which often ends participation in competitive sports and may, in the medium to long term, lead to degeneration of the knee. The occurrence of ACL injuries has increased in recent years and, today, ACL reconstruction is one of the most common procedures in orthopaedic surgery. LÄS MER
