11. Resource Allocation for Mobile Edge Computing Systems
Sammanfattning : The rapid development of mobile information industry has led to the emergence of various mobile applications in areas such as industrial automation, health care or transportation. These applications often require heavy computations with strict latency requirement, which may surpass the processing abilities of the mobile devices. LÄS MER
12. Bringing Augmented Reality to Mobile Phones
Sammanfattning : With its mixing of real and virtual, Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that has attracted lots of attention from the science community and is seen as a perfect way to visualize context-related information. Computer generated graphics is presented to the user overlaid and registered with the real world and hence augmenting it. LÄS MER
13. Mobile systems for monitoring Parkinson's disease
Sammanfattning : A challenge for the clinical management of Parkinson's disease (PD) is the large within- and between-patient variability in symptom profiles as well as the emergence of motor complications which represent a significant source of disability in patients. This thesis deals with the development and evaluation of methods and systems for supporting the management of PD by using repeated measures, consisting of subjective assessments of symptoms and objective assessments of motor function through fine motor tests (spirography and tapping), collected by means of a telemetry touch screen device.
