    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Light-emitting electrochemical cell; PEDOT:PSS; Photonics; Ion transfer; Solution-based fabrication; Electronics; elektronik; Materials Science; materialvetenskap; jonfysik; Ion Physics;

    Sammanfattning : Our world is filling up with electronics. High-tech gadgets are integrated everywhere, from smart fridges able to track expiry dates and food usage, to microchip implants that let us unlock doors and pay with our hands. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On the fluid mechanics of electrochemical coating and spray painting

    Författare :Pedro Olivas; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :mass transfer; electrochemical coating; ion transport; forced convection; diffusion; magnetoelectrolysis; electrolyte; limiting current; numerical simulation;

    Sammanfattning : Finite-volume methods have been used for modeling of fluidflows involved in forced convection electrochemical coating androtating spray painting systems. Electrodeposition on a singlecircular cylinder under forced convection for Reynolds numbers10 and 200 was simulated. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Microdialysis Sampling, Electrochemical Detection and Mass Spectrometry of Carbohydrates in Monitoring Bioprocesses

    Författare :Nelson Torto; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; monosaccharides; membrane; IPED; ion spray; probe internal geometry; extraction fraction; electrochemical oxidation; electrochemical detection; disaccharides; desalting; carbohydrates; bioprocess monitoring; Cu; APCI; Au; MS; oligosaccharides; PAD; PEI; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses; (1) the microdialysis experiment, application and methodology to maximise its performance when sampling from enzymatic bioprocesses, (2) electrochemical detection and electrochemical oxidation of carbohydrates on Au as well as Cu electrodes in alkaline solutions, and (3) coupling and maximising the performance of a microdialysis sampling based high performance anion exchange chromatography-integrated pulsed electrochemical detection-mass spectrometry system. Studies were carried out to investigate the effect of temperature, analyte as well as biomatrix complexity, analyte concentration, permeability factors, protein(enzyme)-membrane interaction and membrane material on the performance of microdialysis sampling. 4. 4. Transport of perfluoroalkyl acids from the ocean to the atmosphere via sea spray aerosol

    Författare :Bo Sha; Ian Cousins; Matthew Salter; Jana Johansson; Jonathan P. Benskin; Cora Young; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Perfluoroalkyl acids; PFAAs; Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances; PFAS; atmospheric transport; sea spray aerosol; industrial sources; Environmental Sciences; miljövetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) are a subgroup of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) that have been widely used in commercial and industrial applications. PFAAs are very persistent in the environment and some can bioaccumulate and have adverse health effects on human health. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Glycosylation is a post-translational modification (PTM) that exerts profound structural and functional effects on the modified protein. Glycan synthesis and conjugation to proteins are regulated by a myriad of factors, both genetic and environmental, and are also influenced by external stressors. LÄS MER
