  1. 1. Predictive Control of Hybrid Electric Vehicles on Prescribed Routes

    Författare :Lars Johannesson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Management; Powertrain Control; Predictive Control; Dynamic Programming; Vehicle Telematics; Hybrid Electric Vehicle; Hybrid Electric Powertrains;

    Sammanfattning : At the highest level in the powertrain control system in a hybrid electric vehicle an energy management controller interprets the driver’s pedal actions as a torque that is to be delivered at the powertrain output. The energy management controller distributes this torque between the engine and the electric machines and decides when to change gear and when to turn off the engine for pure electric propulsion. 2. 2. On Energy Management Strategies for Hybrid Electric Vehicles

    Författare :Lars Johannesson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hybrid Electric Vehicle; Energy Management; Vehicle Telematics; Powertrain Control; Stochastic Dynamic Programming; Driver Model; Predictive Control; Hybrid Vehicle;

    Sammanfattning : Hybrid electric vehicles are characterized by the existence of an electric energy buffer in the powertrain. Compared to a conventional vehicle the existence of the buffer means an extra degree of freedom in the powertrain. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Optimal Powertrain Dimensioning and Potential Assessment of Hybrid Electric Vehicles

    Författare :Nikolce Murgovski; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; powertrain sizing; plug-in slide-in HEV; Dynamic Programming; convex optimization; Hybrid electric vehicle; power management;

    Sammanfattning : Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), compared to conventional vehicles, complement the traditional combustion engine with one, or several electric motors and an energy buffer, typically a battery and/or an ultracapacitor. This gives the vehicle an additional degree of freedom that allows for a more efficient operation, by e.g. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Towards sustainable urban transportation : Test, demonstration and development of fuel cell and hybrid-electric buses

    Författare :Anders Folkesson; Per Alvfors; Peter Treffinger; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : Several aspects make today’s transport system non-sustainable: • Production, transport and combustion of fossil fuels lead to global and local environmental problems. • Oil dependency in the transport sector may lead to economical and political instability. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The Four-Quadrant Transducer System : for Hybrid Electric Vehicles

    Författare :Erik Nordlund; Chandur Sadarangani; Hans Kahlen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical engineering; Electrical Machines; Hybrid Vehicles; Elektroteknik; Electrical engineering; Elektroteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis a hybrid electrical powertrain called the Four Quadrant Transducer (4QT) has been evaluated through different driving simulations, which later resulted in the manufacture of a prototype. The simulation of a 12 metric ton distribution truck showed that the 4QT system can reduce the fuel consumption by approximately 30 % during the FTP75 drive cycle. LÄS MER
