  1. 1. Adaptive Lateral Model Predictive Control for Autonomous Driving of Heavy-Duty Vehicles

    Författare :Goncalo Collares Pereira; Jonas Mårtensson; Bo Wahlberg; Henrik Pettersson; Daniel Axehill; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Model Predictive Control; Control Stability; Experimental Evaluation; Fleet Evaluation; Adaptive Control; Automatic Control; Autonomous Vehicles; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technology promises safer, greener, and more efficient means of transportation for everyone. AVs are expected to have their first big impact in closed environments, such as mining areas, ports, and construction sites, where Heavy-Duty Vehicles (HDVs) operate. LÄS MER

  2. 2. A Framework for Fatigue Analysis of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures

    Författare :Sara Eliasson; Zuheir Barsoum; Per Wennhage; Kim Branner; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Heavy-duty vehicles; Fatigue; Carbon fiber reinforced polymer; Multi-scale modeling; Probabilistic modeling; Tunga fordon; Utmattning; Kolfiberkomposit; Probabilistisk modellering; Farkostteknik; Vehicle and Maritime Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Our society depends on functional road communication, and Heavy Duty Vehicles (HDVs) offer convenient and limitless possibilities of transport and services. However, HDVs account for a quarter of the European Union's CO2 road emissions. There is a substantial need to reduce the CO2 emissions of HDVs to ensure a low negative environmental impact. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Several aspects make today’s transport system non-sustainable: • Production, transport and combustion of fossil fuels lead to global and local environmental problems. • Oil dependency in the transport sector may lead to economical and political instability. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Electric drive and charging system for heavy vehicles : Solutions based on Electric Road Systems

    Författare :Anton Karlsson; Industriell elektroteknik och automation; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The electrification of road bound transport is to some extent limited by the large cost of the energy storage required on-board the vehicles, i.e., the cost of the battery. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Deactivation of emission control catalysts for heavy-duty vehicles : Impact of biofuel and lube oil-derived contaminants

    Författare :Sandra Dahlin; Lars Pettersson; Isabella Nova; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : Catalytic emission control is used to reduce the negative impact of pollutants from diesel exhausts on our health and on the environment. For a heavy-duty truck, such a system consists of a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), a diesel particulate filter (DPF), a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst, and an ammonia slip catalyst (ASC).
