  2. 2. Resource-Predictable and Efficient Monitoring of Events

    Författare :Jonas Mellin; Sten F. Andler; Sharma Chakravarthy; Ulf Nilsson; Peter Fritzson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; composition; efficiency; event; formalization; monitoring; performance; predictability; real-time systems; time complexity; timeliness; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : We present a formally specified event specification language (Solicitor). Solicitor is suitable for real-time systems, since it results in resource-predictable and efficient event monitors. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Event Pattern Detection for Embedded Systems

    Författare :Jan Carlson; Björn Lisper; Christer Norström; Kim Larsen; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; event pattern detection; event algebra; event monitoring; composite events; embedded systems; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Events play an important role in many computer systems, from small reactive embedded applications to large distributed systems. Many applications react to events generated by a graphical user interface or by external sensors that monitor the system environment, and other systems use events for communication and synchronisation between independent subsystems. 4. 4. Towards Semantically Enabled Complex Event Processing

    Författare :Robin Keskisärkkä; Eva Blomqvist; Henrik Eriksson; Daniele Dell'Aglio; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Semantic Web; RDF stream processing; Complex Event Processing; Event modeling; Query abstraction;

    Sammanfattning : The Semantic Web provides a framework for semantically annotating data on the web, and the Resource Description Framework (RDF) supports the integration of structured data represented in heterogeneous formats. Traditionally, the Semantic Web has focused primarily on more or less static data, but information on the web today is becoming increasingly dynamic. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The palaeolimnological record of regime shifts in lakes in response to climate change

    Författare :Linda Randsalu Wendrup; Kvartärgeologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; palaeolimnology; regime shifts; thresholds; alternative stable states; climate change; ecosystem dynamics; diatoms; hydrocarbons; monitoring; lake sediments; shallow lakes; 8.2 ka event;

    Sammanfattning : Regime shifts in lake ecosystems can occur in response to both abrupt and continuous climate change, and the imprints they leave in palaeolimnological records allow us to investigate and better understand patterns and processes governing ecological changes on geological time scales. This thesis aims at investigating palaeolimnological records of regime shifts in lakes during the Holocene to explore how lake ecosystems responded to climate changes and anthropogenic activities and to identify thresholds or tipping points that produced regime shifts.
