  1. 11. Condition Monitoring of Stator Windings with a Networked Electric Drive

    Författare :Giovanni Zanuso; Viktória Fodor; Luca Peretti; Antonio Griffo; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industry 4.0; condition monitoring; multi-drive systems; EtherCAT; CAN; stator interturn faults; stator insulation; accelerated aging.; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Electric drives are widely used in industry, where they are also part of the plant communication architecture. This architecture is challenged by the Industry 4.0 initiative that aims to make the devices in industrial plants more interconnected and with additional functionalities. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Arbitrary Waveform Impedance Spectroscopy for Characterization and Diagnostics of High Voltage Insulation

    Författare :Björn Sonerud; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; insulation testing; aging; monitoring; discrete Fourier transforms; Dielectric measurements; dielectric materials;

    Sammanfattning : In high voltage engineering the dielectric response technique is a widely used tool both for characterization of insulation materials and for diagnostics of components such as transformers and cables. Currently available techniques are not capable of measuring on-line which would be advantageous; when characterizing a material and evaluating the effect of different voltage magnitudes, waveforms and temperatures it is desirable to be able to observe the continuous development of the dielectric properties. 3. 13. Electrical Charges on Polymeric Insulator Surfaces and their Impact on Flashover Performance

    Författare :Sarath Kumara; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; streamer criterion; polymeric insulation; flashover voltage; surface potential; bulk conductivity; surface conduction; humidity; bulk neutralization; charge decay; Surface charge; silicone rubber; corona charging; gas neutralization;

    Sammanfattning : Utilization of remotely located sustainable energy resources such as solar, wind and hydro calls for further developments of long-distance electric power transmissions operating at ultra-high voltage (UHV) levels which may exceed 1000 kV ac and 800 kV dc utilized today. It is foreseen that insulation of such transmission systems is to be based on polymeric materials that can provide a number of technical benefits over traditionally used glass and porcelain based insulation. 4. 14. Partial Discharges in Large Rotating Machines - Continuous On-line Monitoring and Localisation, Based on a New Developed Technique (InTech)

    Författare :Abkar Kheirmand; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; InTech; detection; on-line monitoring; insulation; stator; condition control; PD measurement; Powerformer; winding; rotating machine; partial discharge;

    Sammanfattning : Partial discharges (PD) that originate from dielectrically defective parts of the insulation system result in its degradation, which may ultimately lead to a failure of high voltage apparatus. This has resulted in development of numerous PD measuring techniques. One of the most widespread applications of PD measurement is in rotating machines. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Dielectric Response and Partial Discharge Diagnostics of Insulation Systems by Utilizing High Voltage Impulses

    Författare :Roya Nikjoo; Hans Edin; Andrea Cavallini; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, power system transients are considered as an opportunity for development of on-line diagnostics of power components and specifically the insulation systems of power transformers and bushings.A new technique for on-line dielectric response measurement of power transformer bushings is proposed which utilizes natural transients in the power system, such as lightning and switching surges, as stimuli.
