  1. 16. Biodiversity and Ecosystem Functioning : What Diversity? Which Functioning?

    Författare :Fabian Roger; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ecology; Biodiversity; Ecosystem functioning; Multifunctionality; Microbial Ecosystems;

    Sammanfattning : We share our planet with an estimated 8.7 million eukaryotic species and an uncountable number of bacteria and archaea. But that amazing diversity is under threat from overexploitation, habitat destruction and climate change. This realization has lead ecologists to study the consequences of species loss. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Ecosystem services of wetlands and wetlandscapes under hydro-climatic change : Impacts of water flow and inundation patterns

    Författare :Imenne Åhlén; Jerker Jarsjö; Peter Hambäck; Georgia Destouni; Andrew Frampton; Heather E. Golden; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hydrology; Ecohydrology; Wetlands; Wetlandscapes; Ecosystem services; Spatial Ecology; naturgeografi; Physical Geography;

    Sammanfattning : Wetlands provide ecosystem services valuable for human society and are therefore often considered as nature based solution to different environmental problems. However, with centuries of wetland degradation due to anthropogenic pressures, such as agricultural expansion and forest industry, as well as pressures from climate change, there are large challenges for sustainable wetland management. 3. 18. Integration of BIM and 3D GIS for sustainable cadastre

    Författare :Jing Sun; Kent Eriksson; Lars Harrie; Jenny Paulsson; Milan Horemuz; Peter van Oosterom; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; BIM; 3D GIS; 3D cadastre; LADM; business ecosystem; cadastre ecosystem; sustainability; Geodesi; Geodesy;

    Sammanfattning : Building Information Modelling (BIM) has prominently innovated and digitalized buildingenvironment through digital representation of buildings, lifecycle process and managementfor involved actors. Rapidly developed from Geographical Information System (GIS) domain,three-dimensionally (3D) GIS provides powerful and comprehensive functions of planning,modelling, visualizing and analyzing 3D geodata in large scale. 4. 19. Coarse detritus in oligotrophic lake littoral zones : utilization by intervertebrates and contribution to carbon flow

    Författare :Irene Bohman; Jan Herrman; Lars Tranvik; Jan Stenson; Mark O. Gessner; Högskolan i Kalmar; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Shredders; Biodiversity; Ecosystem; Limnology; Nattsländor; Sjöar; Kol; Biologisk nedbrytning; Freshwater ecology; Limnisk ekologi; Akvatisk ekologi; Aquatic Ecology;

    Sammanfattning : Syftet med denna avhandling är att öka förståelsen av hur grovt organiskt material, sk grovdetritus, tex löv och makrofytrester, bryts ner i sjöars strandzoner. Motivet bakom intresset för detta är att små näringsfattiga sjöar i skogsrika områden ofta är beroende av tillförsel av energi utifrån och att nedbrytningen av grovdetritus är relativt lite undersökt i sjöar. 5. 20. Evolutionary consequences of ecological interactions

    Författare :Etsuko Nonaka; Åke Brännström; Göran Englund; Richard Svanbäck; Per Lundberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; adaptive dynamics; eco-evolutionary dynamics; ecological speciation; ecosystem; individual based; population dynamics; phenotypic plasticity; predator-prey; sexual selection;

    Sammanfattning : Eco-evolutionary dynamics integrates the reciprocal interactions betweenecology and evolution. These two branches of biology traditionally assumethe other as static for simplicity. However, increasing evidence shows thatthis simplification may not always hold because ecology and evolution canoperate in similar timescales. LÄS MER
