    Sammanfattning : This dissertation explores how the school subject Swedish is constructed for various groups of upper secondary school students and how the meeting between teacher and pupils is embodied in a range of Swedish subjects. The overall aim of the study is to illustrate why the teaching of Swedish in the classes under investigation takes place the way it does, as well as to discuss possible changes on a more principal basis.     Sammanfattning : This study has the following aims: to survey and elucidate the personalistic philosophy found in the work of the Russian philosopher Lev Karsavin (1882-1952); to analyse his ethics and elucidate its relation to ontology and personality theory; and to critically examine Karsavin's ethics. Karsavin's philosophy is considered with respect for its distinctive character, in which ethics is not constructed as an autonomous theory, but rather is integrated with metaphysics and personality theory.     Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyse some foreign women s perspectives on their first meeting with the Swedish school and to identify and illuminate patterns and processes on different levels that facilitate respectively obstruct the development of their school careers.
