  1. 1. Fluid inclusion studies of the Laisvall sandstone lead-zinc deposit, Sweden

    Författare :Sten Lindblom; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The ore forming environment at Laisvall was characterized by a total salt content of 24 eq. wt-% NaCl with as much as 9 wt-% CaCl2. Its temperature fluctuated between 180°C and 120°C but generally decreased with time. The cementing mineral assemblage was deposited in the general sequence calcite, barite, fluorite, galena, sphalerite. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Reactions in the System Nitro-cellulose/ Diphenylamine with Special Reference to the Formation of a Stabilizing Product Bonded to Nitro-cellulose

    Författare :Torbjörn Lindblom; Bengt Nygård; Sten-Eric Lindquist; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Nitro-cellulose; NC; Propellant; Stabilizer; Diphenylamine; DPA; Stability; Shelf-life; Chemometry; FTIR; HPLC; Microcalorimetry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The methods HPLC, microcalorimetry and FTIR together with chemometry, provide good analytical tools to follow the degradation of nitro-cellulose.The degradation products formed from diphenylamine (DPA) during storage can be followed with HPLC. FTIR, together with chemometry, also gives the precision needed for safety control of propellants. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Fossilized microorganisms in volcanic rocks from sub-seafloor environments

    Författare :Magnus Ivarsson; Nils Holm; Sten Lindblom; Curt Broman; Harald Furnes; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Microfossils; hydrothermal systems; deep biosphere; Other earth sciences; Övrig geovetenskap; Mineralogy; Petrology and Geochemistry; mineralogi; petrologi och geokemi;

    Sammanfattning : Fossilized microorganisms are focused in this thesis. Such organisms have been observed in drilled basalt samples from the Emperor Seamounts in the Pacific Ocean collected during ODP (Ocean Drilling Program) Leg 197. LÄS MER
