  1. 1. Invasive treatment of coronary artery disease : Aspects on antithrombotic and percutaneous treatment options

    Författare :Per Grimfjärd; Stefan James; Christoph Varenhorst; P Hedberg; Lene Holmvang; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :PCI; STEMI; stent thrombosis; bivalirudin; heparin; bioresorbable scaffold; cangrelor; drug eluting stent; DES; Cardiology; Kardiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The outcome after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has improved considerably thanks to more effective antithrombotic treatment strategies and improved coronary stents. Stent thrombosis (ST) is a rare complication to PCI associated with considerable mortality and morbidity. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Clinical and experimental insights into the use of mechanical chest compressions during prolonged resuscitation in the coronary catheterization laboratory

    Författare :Henrik Wagner; Kardiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cardiac arrest; mechanical chest compressions; PCI; survival; coronary artery blood flow; epinephrine;

    Sammanfattning : INTRODUCTION. Prolonged cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with manual chest compressions (CC) during simultaneous percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is exceedingly difficult, with high mortality rates. The use of a mechanical CC (MCC) device can overcome the ordeal of manual CC. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Cardiac Arrest – mechanical chest compressions, gender differences and coronary angiography

    Författare :Erik Lindgren; Sten Rubertsson; Theresa M Olasveengen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cardiac arrest; OHCA; IHCA; CPR; coronary angiography; percutaneous coronary intervention; PCI; mechanical chest compressions; lucas; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care;

    Sammanfattning : Cardiac arrest is a major health problem with over 6000 cases of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) and 2500 cases of in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) per year in Sweden. Survival are low. Many factors affect the chances of survival, including effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation and optimal post resuscitation care. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Impact of chronic total occlusions, arterial access site, and pretreatment with antiplatelet drugs on mortality in patients with ischemic heart disease: A report from the SWEDEHEART registry

    Författare :Christian Dworeck; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Acute coronary syndrome; acute myocardial infarction; coronary artery disease; mortality; chronic total occlusion; pretreatment; antiplatelet; P2Y12; radial access; PCI; SWEDEHEART; SCAAR; RIKS-HIA; cardiology;

    Sammanfattning : Impact of chronic total occlusions, arterial access site and pretreatment with antiplatelet drugs on mortality in patients with ischemic heart disease: A report from the SWEDEHEART registry Background Treatment of ischemic heart disease has advanced substantially in the past half-century. However, despite these achievements the survival rates in high-income countries such as Sweden have reached a plateau in the last decade. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Coronary angiography after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest

    Författare :Rickard Lagedal; Sten Rubertsson; Stefan James; David Smekal; Markus Skrifvars; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cardiac arrest; OHCA; coronary angiography; PCI; percutaneous coronary intervention; socioeconomy; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care;

    Sammanfattning : Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is a common cause of death with a survival rate of 10% in Sweden. The chance of survival depends on rapid recognition, high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation and post-resuscitation care including searching and treating the cause of the arrest. LÄS MER
